Too small??

Hmmm Cardigan still no where near, won't be ready for Christmas (this year or next). Need to hurry up with it I'm desperate to make a hot water bottle cover I've picked up the pattern for. Maybe the cardy was a bad idea, I'm not even sure it will fit now :-(

summer?

Hectic summer, cardigan nowhere near finished. back and one front done, now hit the boredom bit in the middle (yawn). Too much time and money invested to quit now, need to gain some momentum again. I've had 5 full weeks off work and hardly managed to knit at all. Started back to work now, need to knuckle down before we go full throttle to christmas.

Marshmallows

The back is now, finally, complete! At the rate I'm going global warming will be such that I won't need a cardy. I knitted it longer than the pattern indicated, as I can't bear tops that are too short, i prefer them to cover a multitude of sins and a long term marshmallow habit. Sleeves or front next? Decisions, decisions. Maybe the tea cosy was a better bet after all.

Health and Safety.

Didn't dare take my knitting on the train yesterday, was frightened I'd get the needles confiscated for being an offensive weapon.

Second mortgage

I've got the wool, the cardy is started! How comes you need a second mortgage to hand knit nowadays?? This is surely going to be the most expensive, creme de la creme of cardies! The wool and pattern cost me a small fortune (need more wool than the standard cardy if you get my drift), can't afford to mess this one up, got to wear it even if it the itching removes the top layer of my skin.

pauline fowler

I've decided on a cardigan. you can't go wrong with a good old cardy can you (never did Pauline Fowler any harm did it?) and lets be honest who brews tea in a pot nowadays?

Its a blue cardy and I've picked some nice soft wool because I can't wear anything itchy. I think thats where I have previously gone wrong, I've spent months knitting a jumper, then when its done the damn thing itches so much its gone straight to the rag bag without passing go.

Another of my failings, and there's plenty to share, is that I lovingly knit the parts, taking the utmost care, and then go into a speed frenzy when I'm sewing it up and rush it, desperate to try it on, taking little care and consequently ruining the whole project.

I am committed on this occasion not to do that and make a itchless, neatly sewn garment I can wear with pride and take to all the best venues in town - ones that let you in wearing cardies that is.

Lack of Imagination

French knitting, circular knitting, big knits, small knits!
So much yarn, so little time.

Undecided how to proceed, tea cosies bore me, jumpers are 3 seasons out by the time I finish them and I simply do not need any more scarves! :-(

Unfortunately I have the ability but not the imagination, maybe I need to think outside the needle box and see what I come up with.
